BECOMING AN INSTRUCTOR : BENEFITS & REWARDS

The sky's the limit

One of the biggest benefits of being an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) is being your own boss...

You decide the hours you work and when. You can decide whether you work full or part time to fit in with family commitments. You may want to work less and enjoy more leisure time, or work more and enjoy a much higher income level - the choice is yours.

It is also a career that provides job security and great satisfaction – you will not only be helping people pass their tests you will be giving them a life-changing skill. The Road Traffic Act is being constantly monitored to ensure that the ‘L’ driver test meets the needs of our ever increasing traffic conditions and road safety – this leads to a more demanding driving test requiring more training. There is increased pressure on companies to give additional training to their fleet drivers – all good business opportunities for the ADI.

Most driving schools offer a package which includes a dual controlled car, insured and serviced, your pupils, stationery etc. Some allow the use of your own car so these costs would have to be accounted for.

If you decide to set up your own school you would need to consider all the costs you are likely to incur e.g. advertising, car maintenance etc. and we will cover all of this with you.
